The Ada Arts Council has been part of the community since 1976 when it was created to provide cultural opportunities for all ages. Recognizing the importance of the arts and humanities to our community, the council takes every opportunity to present a wide variety of programs in the performing and visual arts, as well as discussions in the humanities to its members and the community at-large. We are an incorporated, non-profit organization, so we depend upon our members to provide support for the various events offered throughout the year.

Your support has allowed us to offer a variety of special events, from lectures to concerts, including Taste of Ada, Cozy Up with the Arts, Annual Art show also special events with performances by local artisans and musicians. We also continue to offer the always popular Summer Arts Program and provide scholarship support to a variety of students in the arts and humanities.

Each year the Ada Arts Council searches for candidates for the Wight and Criswell Scholarships as well as an Outstanding Adan for the Arts. The winners of these three awards are announced each spring.
