Annual
Newsletter

Each year we send out a newsletter to our members providing an update on all we have accomplished- event goals, services provided, and listing our awards and scholarships from the past year.

President's Message

Thanks to the support of our members and sponsors, the Ada Arts Council (AAC) has been able to continue to provide opportunities in the arts to the Ada area. In the last year, we were able to return to more in-person events including Taste of Ada 2021, Cozy Up with the Arts 2022, the Ada Artists Exhibit 2022, and Taste of Ada 2022.

Taste of Ada 2021 was held at Waddell Vineyards on a lovely fall evening, and we had an even more exciting event for Taste of Ada 2022. The most recent event included the addition of live art demonstrations including landscape painting by Kelly Pennington and knife-making by Nate Turner.

Many area children joined us at Wintersmith Lodge in April for Cozy Up with the Arts to create some beautiful stained glass-style artwork. We hope to see many of you at our next event, Cozy Up 2023 on February 6, 2023.

Through collaboration with the Ada Artists Association, we hosted the Ada Artists Exhibit at the Chokma’si Gallery in May 2022 featuring work by local students and artists. We look forward to working with them again in 2023.

Whether sponsoring students to participate in the Act II Summer Drama Camp, supporting the Ada High School Performing Arts students on their trip to Disney World, or awarding the Criswell Memorial and Eleanor Wight Scholarships, the AAC continues to work on more ways to contribute to the local arts community. We also have some newer projects in the works – ask us about our Art Boxes or the Ada Arts Council Sponsorship Program.

The AAC needs your support to keep up our work and serve the Ada area. With your help we can fulfill our mission and achieve our goals. Membership to the Ada Arts Council is available at different levels, and we urge you to consider joining or working with us.
